The course begins with an introduction to various AI tools and libraries that can be used in journalism. We will focus on specific applications, such as using Chat GPT to find and verify sources and extract relevant details from lengthy reports.
Another key focus will be on analyzing and comparing complex regulatory documents with reality. This includes "interviewing" documents and summarizing them to efficiently capture crucial information.
We will also introduce geolocation techniques using AI and conduct practical exercises to verify geolocated information.
A particularly exciting topic is facial recognition technology and its AI applications. We will explore how to analyze individuals, their associations, and identify networks using facial recognition tools and methodologies.
This course provides journalists with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively use AI in their investigative reporting, leading to more thorough and comprehensive stories.
